Wayside School Gets a Little Stranger
Come visit Wayside School!
But Before you do, you should know that it’s a thirty-story building with one classroom on each floor. Mrs. Jewls teaches the class on the thirtieth story. Miss Zarves teaches the class on the nineteenth story – except there is no nineteenth story, so there is no Miss Zarves.

Book Review
You have come to love the students on the thirtieth story of Wayside School. This book continues the antics of the students and introduces more characters, like Dr. Pickle, from around the building.
What We Liked
My favorite story in this one is “A Story with a Disappointing Ending.” The ending is disappointing, but redeems itself later in the book.
Another favorite is “A Bad Word.” Spoiler…it really isn’t a bad word in the story – it is just bad to say at Wayside School. So, of course, we use it at our house when the kids are in a silly mood.
Kids favorite is “Poetry”. They memorized some of the short poems because they are so funny.
What We Disliked
We do not like the new teacher, Mrs. Nogard. There was definitely cringing by all at some of the things she did to the students.
Audiobook
We did not listen to the audiobook.
Movie Tie-In
None.
The Verdict
If you loved Sideways Stories from Wayside School or Wayside School is Falling Down, read this one too.
My son said it is the second best book in the series. The next one gets his vote for best Wayside book!
